MICHAEL
Michael grew up in country Victoria before moving to Melbourne to study science and engineering. He is a good footy player and enjoys rowing.

Michael explains that coming out as gay doesn’t change who a person is and in this video, questions some of the stereotypes people may have about this experience. Although he feared coming out to his brother and sister, he found that doing so made their relationship stronger.

He talks about the positive impact that providing support to a young gay person can have, including the importance of avoiding discriminatory language like saying ‘that’s so gay’.
